Born and raised in India and now living in Vancouver, Canada, his work often examines personal, societal, economic, religious, and political fractures around us. He also writes about injustice and inequality.

His prose and poetry have appeared in several literary journals, including Ex-Puritan, CBC Books, XRAY, Coachella Review, Selkie, Lunch Ticket, among others.

He won third place in the Short Grain Contest, was runner-up for the Austin Clarke Fiction Prize, and shortlisted for the Craft Flash Prose Prize. He won the Writers’ Union of Canada’s Annual Short Prose Competition 2024 and, in the same year, was featured in CBC Books’ “Writers to Watch.” His work has also been shortlisted for the Malahat Review Open Season Awards Fiction, the CBC Short Story Prize, the Bridport Prize for Fiction, the Bristol Short Story Prize, Into the Void Fiction Prize, and others. He's also a recipient of multiple Canada Council for the Arts grants. Currently, he's working on his first novel and a short story collection.
